About us…

Haley Mckee and Mita Coker are the owners and instructors of “The Resusci-Taters”

On the phone, by email, in class… We are proud of our business and here to get it right.

The Resusci-Taters is local to WNC.

Women-owned and operated.

Haley began teaching CPR & First Aid in 2007 for a family business in Michigan called “Dummies on the Run”, and wilderness medicine in 2012 while traveling through sub-Saharan Africa. As a Wilderness-EMT-B since 2004, she brings decades of experience to her classes.

Mita has been a Wilderness First Responder since 2017 and since starting The Resusci-Taters has done a deep dive into everything emergency and wilderness medicine. Her knowledge and enthusiasm is apparent in every class.

Our other superhero capes are worn on the local rivers where we teach whitewater kayaking!

Mita teaches kayaking at Endless River Adventures and Haley teaches kayaking at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, both based in the Nantahala Gorge.

Operating since August of 2023 and proud to be a thriving small business!
